We are always looking for more caring godly adults (18+ or high school graduate) to serve junior high students. There are a number of ways you can make a significant difference in the life of a junior high student with only a little bit of time each week. Whether you like to talk, cook, play, teach, sing, or be a smiling face, we have a place for you.
In order to ensure the success of our volunteers and the safety of our students we do have an extensive application process. Begin today by downloading the needed Application, Recommendations (Ministry, Professional, Personal), and Background Check. You can also fill out the S.H.A.P.E. Finder as a way to prayerfully consider how God might be calling you to serve.
We ask that you begin the application process with a 30-day observation period (beginning after an interview with Ryan and once your background check has cleared). This period gives you and us a chance to observe one another, finalize the paperwork, and come to a clear understanding of how God is leading you to get involved in Student Ministries. After this 30-day period you will be asked to prayerfully fill out the Staff Commitment Card which details the commitments necessary to be a successful youth worker and expresses the roles you have committed to in the ministry.
Ways you could help out:
Campus Sponsor (be a link between CBC and students and events from a particular school)
Sunday Host (help set a welcoming, fun, and godly atmosphere through food, welcoming, name tags, notes, phone calls, etc.)
Staff Coach (be a resource and encourager to other volunteers)
Audio/Video
Small Group Leader (come alongside students every Wednesday night during the school year)
Artist (music, graphics, painting… students need all sorts of things to help them connect with and learn about God)
Sunday Lunch (provide food for Sunday lunch meetings)
Life Hurts God Heals (get training to help students through their pain and addictions)
